We are a polynesian dance group in Las Vegas.

Te-Awhi (pronounced Te Afi) is our polynesian dance group name.

Te-Awhi is a maori name from New Zealand.  It means to embrace or cherish.

Our training of the maori culture comes from a few teachers mainly Dane N. of Tauranga, New Zealand.  He was born into the tribes of Ngati Ranginui and Ngati Kahungunu.

The maori culture is of preservation and conservation of the land and their language.  Our most popular performance is the famous Kamate Haka and Four Powers Haka.  The haka presentation that we perform last about 5 to 10 minutes.
